Job Summary: |
The SVP, Sales Revenue & Operations, is a senior leader at Mercer Advisors on our Client Development team and will partner with the Head of Client Development to maximize the productivity and effectiveness of our sales teams. This position will create, monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities. They will build and manage sales partnerships, work closely with key leaders, manage program reviews, and lead strategic discussions. This role will collaborate with internal teams to drive improved prospect conversion rates and support the sales process with relevant tools and materials. They will design and implement training sessions, draft sales playbooks, and lead programming to elevate the team’s capabilities and revenue output. Additionally, they will develop and maintain accurate sales reports and dashboards while sharing insights and recommendations with senior leadership. |
Essential Job Functions for this role include: |
Sales Program and Revenue Management: o Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities o Drive material increases in both prospect-to-client conversion rates and firm revenue per Client Development headcount o Build out channel, direct, and community partnerships for the maximum benefit of Mercer Advisors, our custodial partners, financial consultants, and clients o Orchestrate periodic program reviews with senior leaders and more regular interactions with key regional leaders o Assist with issue resolution regarding issues like client inquiries/complaints, revenue share fee modifications and other program related topics Sales Technology and Enablement: o Collaborate with sales technology and enablement teams to drive outcomes that improve conversion rates and enhance sales effectiveness and capabilities including executive scorecards, pipeline reporting, and the evolution of our CRM o Includes process partnering with technology teams to implement effective sales technology o Build out tools and materials to support RVPs in the sales process, in partnership with product marketing o Partner with marketing to create an updated and relevant marketing library of centralized resources for use with all of sales o Ensure delivery of training on how to articulate our value proposition and use materials Sales Training & Development: o Design and implement periodic training and small group sessions to elevate sales team effectiveness o Collaborate with sales leaders and tenured sales team members to draft and document sales playbooks across channel, direct, and community sales groups o Organize and lead program training, including development bootcamps for new RVPs and continued development for tenured RVPs (as needed) Reporting and Data Oversight: o Oversee the development and maintenance of accurate sales reports and dashboards to provide visibility into sales performance. o Analyze sales data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. o Communicate key insights and recommendations to executive leadership to inform strategic decision-making. Territory Design & Management: o Oversee territory management and optimization based on a clear principled-based framework o Oversee performance management framework for RVPs, including target setting o Lead monthly ‘divisional reviews’ to review coverage, performance of individual markets, branches, and RVPs o Identify need for new territories and RVPs, and manage EMD collaboration of RVP assignments Initiative Leadership: o Lead key initiatives across the firm to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency. o Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance the sales process and customer experience. o Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the sales organization through structured feedback loops. Contribution to Overall Firm Success: o Actively participate in vision sessions, project committees, working groups, and business priority development for the enterprise o Attend company workshops or lectures and speak to groups of existing clients, potential clients and employees when called upon o Implement and enforce company policies and procedures Leadership Success Factors: o Client Focused. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: |
· 15+ years of developing relationships with sales professionals including specialization in new relationship development · A client centric sales leader with proven experience mentoring, managing and influencing others · Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills - ability to think dynamically, listen, persuade, and develop mutually beneficial solutions · Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to people of all levels · Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other applicable business discipline required; Advanced degree in industry (e.g. CFP, CFA) preferred |
Work Schedule: |
This professional role requires availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with flexibility to work different hours to meet internal and external client needs. This role also requires flexibility to travel. |
Working Conditions: |
Professional office environment, daytime hours, working inside, standing, and sitting, will be assigned to a workstation, no heavy lifting over 10 lbs. |
