Job Summary:

This position is responsible for monitoring and testing trades and asset allocations to ensure Investment Committee strategies are accurately applied and that trading outcomes are in line with expectations. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience within investment management.

Essential Job Functions for this role include:

  • Works closely with Advisors and Investment team to understand and document investment strategies.
  • Develops tests to audit trades for deviations from desired strategies, based on tax implications or asset allocation results.
  • Investigates portfolios that do not meet expected results, documents rationale, and suggests remedies.
  • Works with traders and third-party trading software vendors to understand trading logic, explain trading results, and recommend systems configurations.
  • Communicates directly with Investment team, Advisors, and other key stakeholders regarding trading activity and portfolio allocations.
  • Creates and presents reports to provide high-level understanding and insights around adherence to or divergence from recommended strategies and/or trading outcomes.
  • Responsible for the implementation of and ongoing monitoring of appropriate trading quality controls and related procedures to ensure trading outcomes are in line with expectations.
  • Works closely with the Compliance and Investment team to implement company standards, educating wealth management teams, and escalating requests outside of these standards.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot with creativity and latitude.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution strongly preferred (preferably Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance related).
  • At least 5 years of experience in investment management preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to work with large datasets; statistical analysis experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to prioritize, multi-task and troubleshoot.
  • Experience with Orion Advisor Technology and Eclipse trading systems preferred.
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Excel or other analysis tools desired.
  • Experience with Power BI, PowerPoint, and Salesforce helpful.

Work Schedule:

This professional role requires availability Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Hybrid schedule

All roles classified as a non-exempt are required to record working time into the timekeeping system daily at the start and end of each workday plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch period.

Working Conditions:

Professional office environment, daytime hours, working inside, standing, and sitting, will be assigned to a workstation, no heavy lifting over 10 lbs.
