Description

  • Acts as a key member of the Endoscopy Service Line, assisting with daily operations and coordinating supply chain logistics.

  • Ensures high-quality patient care through clinical expertise and operational support.

  • Assists with daily operations, maintaining effective case flow and managing instruments, supplies, and equipment.

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for providers, vendors, support staff, and leadership.

    • Maintains clear communication regarding procedures, schedules, and equipment needs.

  • Provides clinical expertise in endoscopy procedures, including:

    • Procedure setup

    • Equipment troubleshooting

    • High-level disinfection (HLD) processes

  • Supports quality assurance and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborates with providers to improve service line efficiency and promote best practices.

  • Contributes to equipment budgeting and procurement, including recommendations for new acquisitions and maintenance.

  • Mentors, trains, and supports endoscopy staff, identifying educational needs and coordinating training sessions.

  • Assists with administrative duties, supporting the Nurse Manager and leadership in:

    • Staffing

    • Regulatory compliance

    • Cost management

  • Participates in on-call rotation as required based on unit staffing needs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: Two (2) years of Endoscopy Tech experience.

  • Certification:

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

    • Advanced Endoscopy Tech certification through SGNA preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium): 20-50 lbs.; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs., 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs., 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs. max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs.; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
