JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs safe operation of vascular US and physiologic equipment to ensure high quality for diagnostic vascular scans and other procedures. Operates other medical equipment as needed. Provides quality patient care to patients undergoing Vascular US scans and physiologic procedures. Demonstrates complete knowledge of vascular anatomy and physiology. Prepares the patients having vascular procedures with proper technique.
May participate in more complex procedures. Communicates and explains various procedures to patients and families. Processes required paper work, and has knowledge of all supplies, and stocks rooms. Acts as a preceptor for new staff and students. Provides leadership in the absence of a Level IV Tech. Performs related responsibilities as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited school of ultrasound technology, vascular technology or a cardiovascular program. Current registry certificate from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). RVT, RVS or RT(VS) required, 3 years of vascular imaging experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
