We provide:
An Anesthesia Technologist I performs all the duties of the Anesthesia Technician. This role is responsible for supporting anesthesia care through the preparation and maintenance of equipment, assistance with patient monitoring, and adherence to safety protocols. It requires a foundational understanding of anesthesia procedures, equipment, and medications, and includes documenting clinical information, preparing emergency airway equipment, and supporting invasive line setup. The Technologist I also participates in quality assurance, training of new staff, and ongoing professional development activities.
Clinical Support
1. Prepares and sets up equipment for various procedures
2. Assists the anesthesia provider in monitoring the vital signs of patients
3. Ensure the safe and efficient administration of anesthesia care.
4. May be required to accurately document patient information and procedures while adhering to all safety protocols and standards
Technical Equipment Support
1. A comprehensive understanding of anesthesia equipment, medications, and procedures is essential.
2. May be tasked with preparing invasive line pressure transducers for use during anesthetizing procedures.
3. Sets up, calibrates, prepares, and maintains the anesthesia equipment utilized during these procedures.
4. May be required to prepare emergency airway equipment.
Team Collaboration
1. Requires participation in in-services, seminars, or other relevant educational programs.
2. Assist in the training of new employees and perform related responsibilities as required.
Safety and Infection Control
1. Adhere to principles of sterile technique and other infection control policies and standards to sustain a healthy work environment. Perform related responsibilities as required.
Work Type: On-site - Works at a physical workplace, interacting with colleagues face-to-face.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education - High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and one (1) year of related healthcare experience as an Anesthesia Technician and competency-based evaluation.
Certification - Basic Life Support certification (BLS) within 90 days of hire

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium Max 25lbs): 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day; 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday; 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday; Lifting 50 lbs max; frequent standing & walking and pushing and pulling; Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environmental conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, and environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
