JOB DESCRIPTION: Maintains the safe operation and maintenance of building facilities and has a proven competency in one of the following areas; electrical/wiring, mechanical/HVAC systems, plumbing/pipefitting or Plant Operations/Stationary Engineer.
Repairs and adjusts doors, windows, closures, panic devices and locks. Patches holes, installs escutcheons, repairs ceiling and floor tile as needed to maintain building appearance. Makes minor masonry and wood repairs. Installs pictures, coat hooks, other wall hung furnishings, and equipment as requested. Performs preventive maintenance activities, responds to customer complaints, and repairs equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years experience in building maintenance. Working knowledge in their area of competency of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, Plant operations, structural, or general carpentry. May require a valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record. Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
