Description

The IT Program & Portfolio Manager leads a large, enterprise ServiceNow implementation program, overseeing planning, execution, and delivery across multiple modules, including service request workflows, incident management, Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM), hardware asset management, and demand management. This role is responsible for driving successful implementation, adoption, and stabilization of ServiceNow capabilities.

Serving as the primary liaison between IT, business stakeholders, technical teams, and implementation partners, the Program Manager manages the program roadmap, governance, dependencies, and risks. The role ensures alignment to organizational priorities, controls scope, and supports transition to steady-state operations at program completion.

The ideal candidate will bring strong IT Program Management experience with direct involvement in ServiceNow implementations, along with excellent leadership, communication, and execution skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for managing the portfolio of projects and to ensure that projects in the PMO are accurate, up-to-date, have correct statuses and timely documentation.
  • Work with the Project Managers to keep their project information maintained and accurate.
  • Help with overseeing the delivery of projects and managing effective governance, as well as the continuous improvement and management of the portfolio projects.
  • Monitor and manage the status and documentation of the projects in the portfolio. Keep the portfolio up to date and accurate.
  • Ensure that the project managers are maintaining their project information.
  • Increases the adoption of the EHC IS P.M.O. processes and tools to drive the quality of the projects delivered by IS to the EHC business.
  • Ensures that all the projects being delivered have identified dependencies, risks, and escalations at the Portfolio level.
  • Ensure project requests are ready to move through the defined P.M.O Portfolio phase process for the next phase.
  • Provide guidance, coaching and training for the IS P.M.O. processes.
  • Approves portfolio and project statuses, dashboards, reports and documentation as required by IS leadership or governance.
  • Provide input and guidance to leadership on the process development regarding portfolio or project management practices.
  • Ensures adherence to PMO and project practices, procedures, precedents, policy and senior leadership direction.
  • Leads and facilitates training process for new PMs to ensure their understanding of the PMO process and tools used by the EHC IS P.M.O.
  • Monitors and manages the status and documentation of the projects in the portfolio. Manages individual programs as needed.
  • Plays a leadership role for the project team in driving the project from start-to-end to ensure the outlined goals and objectives mentioned in the charter are achieved and the success factors are met.
  • Collaborates with IS leaders, Program or Project Managers to define time-frames, funding procedures, deliverables and staffing levels.
  • Conducts, leads and / or participates in project reviews and assessments as requested.
  • Prepares thorough and articulate executive summaries for IS leadership on the Portfolio and associated projects so that subsequent questions are not required.
  • Collects, analyzes, and compiles materials to support decisions in the event of escalations. Partners with the EHC IS Directors, Managers and CIO regarding ongoing IT budget planning and presentations. Including business case review for completeness in order to drive the most effective project prioritization discussions.
  • Provides thought leadership and subject matter expertise in planning, prioritizing, forecasting, and budget management for the prescribed portfolio driving adoption to 18-month, 6-month and 90-day planning windows.
  • Perform all activities in compliance with the internal and external requirements / standards for Health & Safety, Quality, Regulatory and Finance.
  • Works cooperatively with others to accomplish team goals. Supports others and shares information.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience as a Program Manager involved with ServiceNow implementations.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in IT / Computer, Science / Computer Studies or an equivalent degree.
  • Must have 8 years of Information Technology Project Leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a PMO like role OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Must be able to manage large scale programs and projects across the full project lifecycle.
  • Previous experience with business transformations and transitions.
  • Proven experience mentoring Project Managers.
  • Experience working in a large healthcare organization and ability to work across diverse organizations and build effective relationships.
  • Preferred certification in Prince, MSP, or PMP
