ChristianaCare’s Medical Group - Embedded Behavioral Health department is searching for a Full Time Psychologist II to support our Bariatric/Weight Management Team at the Wilmington Hospital in Wilmington DE.
The Psychologist II will enhance and improve the quality of patient care at ChristianaCare by providing psychological assessment services for pre-surgical evaluations and psychological diagnostic evaluations, as well as psychological treatment and consultation for individuals experiencing behavioral health needs associated with their medical/health conditions. The position provides clinical support to the Embedded Behavioral Health Team with a focus on Bariatric/Weight Management and Psychological Assessment.

Mondays - Fridays: 8:00am- 4:30pm
No weekends/holidays

Key Responsibilities
Conducts psychological evaluations for individuals as part of comprehensive bariatric pre-surgical evaluation process, including diagnostic impression and recommendations.
Provides evidenced-based psychological interventions including individual and group therapy for individuals to support psychological, behavioral, and health-related needs related to bariatric/weight management conditions and care.
Works as a member of multidisciplinary teams (surgeons, physicians, nurses, case management) regarding treatment planning and connection to community-based services as appropriate.
Conducts comprehensive, multi-method psychological assessments, including clinical interviewing, cognitive testing, and personality assessment, to support diagnostic clarification and treatment planning for adults presenting with attention, learning, emotional, and personality-related concerns.
Integrates data across multiple assessment methods and sources into cohesive, patient-centered psychological assessment reports written in clear, accessible language.
Provides additional psychological evaluation and intervention services in the context of medical/health conditions as part of the Embedded Behavioral Health Team.
Provides coordination of care services with patients, families, providers, payment sources and other involved parties as needed.
Completes timely and appropriate documentation and billing for daily services adhering to policy with all charges supported by appropriate documentation in the medical record within required time frame.
Performs duties in accordance with Medical-Dental Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Christiana Care Health Services.
Maintains licenses/certifications in areas of specialty and completes mandatory CCHS education.
Performs related duties as required.
Position Qualifications
Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited institution required.
Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in the state of Delaware required
At least 1-year of clinical experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferred
Training or clinical experience conducting psychological assessments that include both cognitive and personality testing measures, preferred.
Training or clinical experience with bariatric/weight management population, preferred
All qualified candidates will be required to be licensed prior to start date.

Hourly Pay Range: $48.15 - $77.04This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
