About This Position
ChristianaCare is searching for a Community Workforce Partnership and Engagement Specialist to lead the administrative and programming tasks for the Workforce Development leg of Youth Development. This position will also support youth development programming, with a strong focus on workforce and personal development.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations of workforce development programming
- Manage interns, student fellows and future FTEs which may be added to the program in future state
- Ensure the administrative functions of workforce development are effectively carried out
- Lead the program planning efforts for workforce practices that include but are not limited to career exploration/shadowing, entrepreneurship, and skill development
- Identify opportunities for program expansion and work collaborative with system and community partners to advance new programming
- Primary contact for workforce related activities and producing the monthly newsletter
- Actively recruit and provide outreach for youth participants
- Actively build community partnerships/collaborations both internally and externally
- Greet and communicate with participants, parents, stakeholders and supporters
- Liaison between the ChristianaCare health system, community partnerships and scholars
- Seek opportunities to enhance knowledge base and mind set regarding trends in the field
- Responsible for fiduciary oversight to stay within budget parameters
- Ensure project execution within defined budget, timelines and guidelines.
- Create, prepare and deliver reports to various audiences/departments as needed
- Monitor program progress status, delays and issues to leadership as needed.
- Organize and lead Youth Development staff meetings/huddles
- Collaborate with all Youth Development programs (Camp FRESH, Career Exploration, etc.)
- Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices; reports to supervisor, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Education and experience requirements:
- High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred in healthcare, business administration, or related field preferred
- Three years of experience in youth programming preferred
Annual Compensation Range $56,804.80 - $85,196.80This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
