Job Details

The primary function of the Intern in this role is to assist the team and will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of CCHS HR Operations Department. The intern will experience collaborative teamwork, opportunity to problem solve and day to day office operation. The goal is to provide opportunities to encourage professional and personal growth over a 4-year period.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze business goals, objectives and needs
  • Help plan and design business processes and make recommendations for improvement
  • Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. as needed
  • Assist in preparing information and research materials; create and maintain PowerPoint presentations
  • Assist in resolving business issues using systems and data
  • Help launch new initiatives upon departments request and direction
  • Perform research and analysis in support of operations
  • Manage databases and input information
  • Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks
  • Aid the HR Transactions team with Tuition & Fitness Reimbursements
  • Triage service tickets received
  • Provide support for ongoing audits
  • Help to update and maintain SOP’s & Training Manuals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma is required OR GED
  • Enrollment in higher education (associate, bachelor, or master) within related field

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to absorb material from trade publications, academic and industry sources.
  • Ability to learn new information.
  • Ability to use various computer types and models to perform duties.
  • Knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and operations.
  • Skill in telephone & email communications.
  • Skill in written and verbal communication.
$20.00/hrThis pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
