ChristianaCare is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant II to join their team at

a new multispecialty practice in Rehoboth Beach, DE.

This brand-new location will have an array of specialties including:

Neurology, Pulmonary, Cardiology, Oncology, Endocrinology and more.

The Medical Assistant II is responsible for assisting physicians in the examination and treatment of patients with virtual and on-site appointments. To deliver quality patient care and to perform other clinical and clerical duties within the practice.


Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday: 8:00a-4:30p

  • Cross coverage at other practices as needed


Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients virtually and in person.

  • Prepare patients for visits, including taking vitals and rooming.

  • Perform point-of-care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs.

  • Assist clinicians during exams and procedures.

  • Prepare and maintain exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies.

  • Update EMR with test results and documentation.

  • Handle patient callbacks and relay provider instructions.

  • Sterilize medical equipment per state guidelines.

  • Schedule tests, procedures, and surgeries to ensure continuity of care.

  • Perform quality control on POCT equipment.

  • Support patients with video visits and portal enrollment.

  • Manage prior authorizations, referrals, and medication refills.

  • Complete chart audits and prep during downtime.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and report hazards promptly.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent required.

  • A graduate of a recognized Medical Office Assistant Program or

    Hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

  • 2 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant is required; 3 years’ experience is preferred

Hourly Pay Range: $19.84 - $29.76This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
