About this Position
ChristianaCare is searching for a Project Manager to manage the successful delivery of complex organizational projects within scope, quality, time, and cost constraints that may be clearly defined or may require dynamic change management to deliver business value. Additionally, the candidate should bring a passion for project and change management, an unyielding customer focus, and a drive for successfully delivering complex projects that deliver business value.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure successful delivery of enterprise projects that drive business value and positively affect change while ensuring that project goals are accomplished and align with business objectives.
- Leads the development of the overall approach for the project, its major time frames, and the definition of its major deliverables to address and meet the desired goals and outcomes.
- Leads regular interactions with the executive sponsor to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuing good relationship and shared vision for the project outcome.
- Establishes and ensures appropriate governance functions for the project in accordance with enterprise policies, practices and on behalf of the executive sponsor.
- Directs the creation and maintenance of the required project documentation and artifacts.
- Develops and controls the project budget and manages expenditure within agreed spending plans.
- Leads reviews with executive sponsor and stakeholders to identify organic or specific project needs and/or changes and directs the development of appropriate approaches to address.
- Leads the development and maintenance of stakeholder mapping, communications, and reporting.
- Acts as an advisor and builds and maintains relationships across the wider stakeholder community.
- Leads the oversight of project execution, its progress compared with the plan and the production of agreed deliverables.
- Applies approved framework/guidelines for the use of contractors and professional service providers and determines their use across the project.
- Monitor project activities, ensuring the currency, quality, and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" across the enterprise.
- Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confer with project staff to outline work plan.
- Serve as a change agent, driving the spread of best practices organization-wide while resolving issues and breaking down barriers along the way.
- Support the continued advancement of a Project Management Community of Interest and facilitate the development of a Center of Excellence.
- Provide and presents organizational communication and education on policies and procedures related to the areas of responsibility. Ensures communications are consistent and coordinated.
Education and experience requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, project management or related field.
- 5 or more years of project management experience, with precision focus on solving complex business problems for customers both external and internal.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team of project resources.
- Demonstrated experience and ability in successfully utilizing "soft skills" or "people skills."
- Demonstrated experience in seeking process improvement opportunities.
- Project management and/or general business management, or equivalent related experience.
- Master’s degree preferred but not required.
- PMP training and certification are preferred but not required.
Annual Compensation Range $92,726.40 - $148,387.20This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
