ChristianaCare is seeking a dedicated Service Assistant II to join our Environmental Services team. In this essential role, you’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors — directly contributing to the quality of care we provide.
Full-Time
Day Shift (7:00 AM -3:30 PM)
Requires working every other weekend
Includes holiday rotation
Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, and common areas
Maintain carts, equipment, and supply closets in a safe and orderly condition
Support infection control procedures, including cleaning precaution rooms
Respond promptly to service requests via phone and app
Remove trash, soiled linen, and infectious waste
Perform floor care duties including stripping, refinishing, shampooing carpets/upholstery, and washing walls/windows
Assist with transporting furniture and equipment
Attend training sessions and report maintenance issues
Uphold safety standards and maintain confidentiality
High school diploma preferred
Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
Ability to communicate clearly and maintain a helpful attitude
Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout your shift
Comfort using smartphones or PDAs for work assignments

This position has a starting rate of $17.75 per hour, regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.74 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.74 per hour.This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
