About the Unit
The Heart Failure Unit (5E) at Christiana Hospital is a 36-bed specialized unit, including 12 beds dedicated to post-operative open-heart patients. These patients require step-down level care and may present with complex needs such as chest tubes/drains, large bore central line catheters, and external cardiac pacing wires. They are closely monitored and receive daily multidisciplinary rounding, including oversight from cardiac surgeons.

What We’re Looking For
We seek a dynamic Nurse Manager who brings:

  • Proven leadership experience in a clinical setting
  • A collaborative spirit and team-oriented mindset
  • A strong foundation in cardiac care and post-operative patient management
  • A drive to foster excellence in patient outcomes and staff development

Education & Requirements:

  • Current nursing licensure in the State of Delaware or compact state required
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Completed BSN and Master’s degree or alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree and Masters of Science in Nursing.
  • 5 years appropriate clinical and leadership experience required.
  • Professional certification in a related nursing specialty required.
  • Nurse Executive certification strongly preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Annual Compensation Range $121,180.80 - $193,897.60This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
