We seek a strong people and process leader who will plan, organize, and execute coordinating the activities of the Patient Escort and Environmental Services Departments. This individual will ensure high standards of service, as well as safe and efficient transportation and environmental services for ChristianaCare's Wilmington Campus. Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements departmental policies, procedures, goals, objectives, and standards of work performance for patient escort and environmental services.

  • Determines the scope and flow of work assignments, use of equipment and use of chemicals to provide a safe, efficient and effective patient experience.

  • Plans, develops and coordinates training to meet the developmental and learning needs of the organization.

  • Establishes and manages processes to determine workload, productivity and staffing needs.

  • Ensures employee relations matters are conducted in a fair, even handed manner consistent with ChristianaCare’ s policies

  • Establishes goals with a plan of action for accomplishment, including clearly stated desired results.

  • Ensures that proper communications are maintained with staff through staff meetings, other oral communications and written communications.

  • Coordinates the development of annual operating and capital budgets to include personnel, equipment, material, engineering services and project needs.

Education and experience requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Masters Degree preferred
  • Ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in Patient Escort Management preferred (at least one large 500 bed plus labor intensive organization); minimum of 5 years of leadership in Patient Escort required.
