PRIMARY FUNCTION:
ChristianaCare is seeking a seasoned and motivated technology leader with deep expertise in Workday maintenance and upgrades, as well as a strong understanding of financial business processes. In this role, you will oversee the internal application maintenance strategy for our Finance systems. You will lead a team responsible for managing both in-house and third-party software solutions that support our critical corporate finance operations, while also cultivating relationships with vendors to ensure we maximize the value of these partnerships.
This position requires close collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the finance leadership team. You will leverage your comprehensive knowledge of technology, the Workday platform, and financial domain expertise to deliver innovative solutions that keep ChristianaCare at the forefront of financial excellence. As a trusted partner to the Finance team, you will help shape and drive the direction of our internal tools and mission-critical business processes.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hold strategic and operational responsibility for Finance ERP applications.
Oversee daily operations, ensuring effective risk management and high service quality for finance systems.
Lead formal communications with finance stakeholders and escalate issues to the Steering Committee as appropriate.
Manage contractual aspects such as scope, pricing, and change orders for finance technology solutions.
Oversee relationships with product vendors, escalating issues as needed to ensure optimal vendor performance.
Coordinate with leads across finance functions, as well as with boundary and third-party system owners.
Gather and analyze key metrics and KPIs related to finance technology performance.
Manage new releases, including fixes, enhancements, upgrades, and annual business cycle updates for finance applications.
Collaborate with ERP application, business, integration, and configuration teams—both internal and external.
Manages the Finance support team responsible for all technology applications, operational day-to-day support, and planned/project work as part of the Finance technology roadmap.
Coordinate ongoing small to medium enhancements, including testing and migration, for finance systems.
Oversee the schedule for POD refreshes related to finance applications.
Review weekly release changes/updates, assess potential impacts, and coordinate necessary actions for finance systems.
Maintain overall release plans and coordinate releases across finance ERP and associated applications.
Lead incremental finance technology projects as they arise.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, HR Management, or related field required.
Five years of IT management experience of SaaS platform vendors and Enterprise applications
Five years’ experience managing highly functional IT support teams supporting business critical systems
Experience supporting Workday Financials with full life cycle or equivalent experience in ERP applications.
Ten or more years of progressive leadership experience can be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Strong understanding of finance business processes and organizational priorities.
Demonstrated leadership skills in technology and operations.
High-level knowledge of healthcare solutions within Workday and related applications.
Expertise in application management service delivery for finance systems.
Deep understanding of finance business processes.
Advanced knowledge of ERP applications, particularly in finance.
Proven leadership and project management experience.
Experience with service management and change management.
ERP application knowledge is essential, Workday Finance experience preferred.
Experience with cloud delivery models.
