About this Position

The Research Education Specialist will be responsible for identifying, planning, developing, and implementing the educational, administrative, and operational activities, as well as mentoring nurse fellows to support the Nursing Research Fellowship in Robotics and Innovation.

This position is Part Time, 20-hours per week. Schedule will be discussed during the phone screen,

Principal duties and responsibilities:

• Educational and professional development mentorship of clinical nurse fellows.
• Identifies, plans, develops, and implements the fellowship’s educational, administrative, and operational activities.
• Develops, teaches, recommends and continuously evaluates course materials that includes but is not limited to instructional tools, instructional content, audio-visual materials, exercises, and evaluations.
• Mentors the fellows in writing workshops to support abstract and publication submissions.
• Mentors the fellows to create poster and/or podium presentations.
• Develops and implements internal and external communications.
• Organizes speakers for fellowship lectures.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of curricular content and programmatic activities.
• Contribute to programmatic writing, reporting, and analysis.
• Assist the Director and nurse fellows in preparing internal and external presentations, and scholarship activity.

Education and experience requirements:

• Bachelors degree in nursing and/or other related health field and 5 years relevant experience required.
• Masters degree in nursing or related healthcare field preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in education and research required.
• 2 years of experience in project management strongly preferred.
• Supervisory or management experience desired.
