ChristianaCare Family Medicine at Wilmington and Family Medicine at Foulk is looking to hire a Senior Scheduler.

ChristianaCare’s Rocco A. Abessinio Family Wilmington Health Center is home to three primary care practices among other programs and services. Offering wellness and preventive health visits for people of all ages, and medical care for treating illness and injury, the team of clinical and support personnel provide the high-quality health care that every patient within our community deserves, regardless of income or ability to pay. Family Medicine at Wilmington and Family Medicine at Foulk includes physicians who are teachers, faculty members, making it possible for resident doctors to be part of the care team. Faculty participate in research and continually advance their knowledge as they mentor leading-edge and compassionate care teams who often continue working at ChristianaCare.

The Senior Scheduler will coordinate scheduling operations for Family Medicine at Wilmington and Family Medicine at Foulk collaborating with Complex Care leadership for new process implementation and workflow changes.


Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm


Duties / Responsibilities:
The Senior Scheduler is responsible for overseeing physician and provider schedules for Family Medicine at Wilmington and Family Medicine at Foulk practices, including clinical hours, call coverage, and other scheduling needs. They maintain schedules in various scheduling programs, coordinate with the Medical Group Contact Center, Family Medicine/ Adult Medicine providers, Site Managers, and staff, and establish processes for out-of-office requests. They monitor PTO, CME, weekend, and holiday hours to ensure physicians/providers meet their clinical obligations and prepare variance reports. They add or remove blocks to Rev Cycle for schedule changes and resolve scheduling conflicts daily. They also collaborate with Resident Chiefs, Clinical Leaders, Clinical Directors, Site Managers, and Practice Administrators. The individual maintains confidentiality and provides exceptional customer service.

Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • Medical receptionist or medical assistant degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a medical office setting or customer service environment is preferred but not required.
