Christiana Care Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to work Full Time in the Cecil Imaging (Elkton, Maryland) Unit. Weekend and Holidays - per the guidelines of the department. Shift schedule discussed further in interview. Occasional rotation to work in Union Hospital, Imaging area, as needed.

As a licensed professional competent registered nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for patient care activities in a designated clinical area in accordance with the Christiana Care Nursing Professional Practice Model.

We are seeking a candidate with ~

1. IV Skills - knowledge and proven skills in IVs.

2. Critical thinking skills

3. Ability to handle allergic reactions

4. Charge nurse/ leadership skills strongly preferred.

Functions

• Performs and documents accurate clinical assessments of patients on arrival at imaging location according to established standards.
• Identifies actual and
• potential problems for which the patient is at risk. Demonstrates acquired knowledge and skills and a commitment to excellence at Christiana Care.
• Initiates, follows and modifies a nursing plan of care based on assessment and diagnosis.
• Assesses and documents patient response to interventions.
• Individualizes teaching methods to best suit patient/family learning needs and abilities. Revises educational plans to meet needs as they change.
• Encourages patient/family participation in the discharge process and informed decision making.
• Administers medications in a safe and effective manner.

General Requirements:

• BSN required.
• ADNs candidate are required to commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
• Two year experience as RN required. Radiology Nursing Experience a strong plus. Acute care experience preferred.
• BLS required
