ChristianaCare's Medical Group is looking to hire a Full Time Surgical Scheduler to support the Cardiology Consultants Department at Avenue North, Wilmington, DE.

The Surgical Scheduler schedules procedures, in collaboration with providers and surgical block time, assuring the availability and proper utilization of resources including time, equipment, and personnel.

Work Schedule:

• Monday- Friday: Day Shift

• No weekends or holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Schedule all Cardiac Interventional and Electrophysiology procedures for ChristianaCare Cardiology’s outpatient practice

• Management of inpatient procedure work, to include interfacility transfers

• Provide non-clinical preoperative instructions, directions, and concerns for surgical patients

• Utilizing a proficient knowledge of basic OR equipment, identifies conflicts associated with case requirements

• Interact with physicians, physician’s offices, various Christiana Care departments, patients, and patient’s family daily

• Cross trains with other departments within Heart &Vascular Service line to provide coverage as required.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate.

• Minimum of three years related medical office experience with knowledge of compute scheduling for multiple providers.
